Yarnspiration 2015
Last summer we had a crazy fun idea to celebrate a yarn day and raise money for charity at The Make Studio. Jill from Sable Yarns, Claire from Aisling Designs, Jacqui from Hooky Delights and I set about planning a day of fun workshops, yummy lunch, delicious cakes, lots of yarn goodness and great company.
The workshops last year included yarn dying.
Spinning.
Making gorgeous tile coasters.
We used similar tiles in the kitchen at The Make Studio.
We also learned to make crochet flowers.
We had so much fun and raised money for Amnesty International and The National Autistic Society. We have decided to host another one this year. Yarnspiration 2015 will be on the 20 June. From 9am to 5pm at The Make Studio in Loudwater, High Wycombe. This year we will be raising money for The National Autistic Society and Medicin Sans Frontiers.
Workshops at this years events will include: Yarn dyeing by Jill from Sable Yarns, Weaving by me, Natasha from Taking a Moment in Time, Needle Felting by Claire from Aisling Dezigns and Mixed media Collage by Sarah from Sarah Notes . There will be stalls selling different types of yarny goodness. (If you are interested in having a stall at Yarnspiration 2015, please email me on [email protected] )
